Mentorship Programs
Guiding Youth Toward Purpose, Healing, and Hope
At Nobody Plans On Dying, we believe every young person deserves to feel seen, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Our Mentorship Program was created to walk alongside youth who are facing challenges—whether it’s substance abuse in the family, grief from loss, or feeling lost in the school system.
Through intentional one-on-one and group mentorship, we connect middle and high school students with trained, caring mentors who’ve walked similar paths—and found their way to the other side.

What We Offer
One-on-One Mentorship: Weekly or bi-weekly sessions tailored to each student’s needs. These sessions are safe, confidential, and grounded in compassion.
Group Mentorship Circles: Guided group sessions where youth connect with others navigating similar life circumstances. These spaces foster trust, emotional resilience, and peer support.
Purpose Discovery Activities: From life visioning workshops to creative expression, we help youth reconnect to who they are and why they matter.
Academic and Life Skill Support: Our mentors support not just emotional well-being, but also accountability, study habits, and setting personal goals.
Who It’s For
- Youth ages 12–18 who may be:
- Grieving the loss of a loved one
- Exposed to or impacted by substance use
- Facing emotional struggles like depression, anxiety, or isolation
- Looking for direction, support, or simply someone who believes in them
Why It Matters
In too many schools, counselors are gone. Support systems are overwhelmed. Our youth are falling through the cracks. We’re here to fill that gap—with real connection, empathy, and guidance that can change lives.
Our mentors don’t come to “fix” anyone. They come to listen, uplift, and remind youth that no matter where they’ve been, they are worthy of a powerful future.
Our Mentors
Every mentor is trained, background-checked, and trauma-informed. Many have overcome their own adversity and are passionate about giving back. They serve as trusted guides, not just authority figures, offering relatable, respectful, and empowering support.

Real Lives, Real Impact
“After my brother died, I didn’t talk to anyone. I was angry at the world. My mentor didn’t judge me—she just showed up, week after week. Because of her, I started showing up for myself.” — Jasmine, 15 Let’s stand together for our youth.
Let’s show them they are not alone. Because Nobody Plans On Dying—but together, we can help them plan to live.
